2010- A Good Year!

and I haven't even added holiday pics! Gonna have to be its own post...
2010=SUCCESS!

Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly

and what does that even mean?
I haven't the foggiest. Well, it's December 22nd, 2010 and
I am not curled up by the fire listening to Christmas music,
I am also not rushing through the mall picking up last minute trinkets for stockings.
I am definitely not baking Christmas cookies either.

I am sitting at my office desk.
Being a grown-up is for the birds.
I'm trying to make the most of it, by blasting Christmas music from my office,
online window shopping for things I would never buy but would love to watch people open,
and i have consumed 4 cups of hot chocolate in 2 hours.

Even if I spend the days leading up to Christmas someplace other than WhoVille,
it can at least be WhoVille in my mind!
I am done Christmas shopping, everything is wrapped...
I kinda wish I had more to do because it is so fun to me! This year will be extra special because my niece will be with us- every holiday is better with a child. Especially one my whole family is way too obsessed with.
I've been watching the weather reports, and it appears like only a Christmas Miracle could bring us snow on December 25th. But... I'm still holding out...

This Christmas I am BEYOND thankful for my life. Could it be better? I really don't think so. I have the best husband of all times, who is the best companion and friend a girl could ask for. Life is a constant party for us. I have an absolutely wonderful family- each member is so supportive and encouraging, not to mention a blast to be with. I also am blessed with fun friends, an amazing church and a great job.

Life is good for the King & I.

Merry Christmas!

Remember, this December,

That Love Weighs More than Gold.
-Josephine Dodge Daskam Bacon

Yes, but gold is just so fun to wear!
Here are just a few options for a special lady in your life, should you choose to forgo the love and send the gold. Bonus, Tiffany provides complimentary shipping on all Christmas orders!

Note to self- you can only buy the gold dog charm if you are not obsessed with dogs, nor own more than 3. If either of these apply to you, please refrain from adding another dog to your life!

It's beginning to look a lot like...

CHRISTMAS,
and OH DEAR I am not even running behind!
strictly regarding buying gifts, of course.
it's 10 days from THE big day, and I only have a few gift cards to buy.
I, as you can sense, am very proud of myself.

Of course, there are lots of other things I need to do.
for instance, send the Christmas cards I printed, addressed and sealed a few weeks ago.
or, finish swapping out my summer & winter clothes in my closet.
you know, minor things.
So I actually have a lot to do.

I am so excited about this Christmas, because a few days after we celebrate,
the King & I are jetsetting to Seattle for an almost entire week!
much needed vacay, to be sure.
We are also going for a wedding, but we will have plenty of time to shop and veg.
Sounds delightful, especially since the huz just got back from China. I missed him so much, so this trip is absolutely what the doctor ordered.

But back to Christmas. Our DVR is currently maxed out with Home Alone I and II, The Grinch, The Santa Claus, Santa Claus is Coming to Town- We've watched all of them already, with most we're on round three. My favorite thing right now is watching these movies, wrapping gifts in front of our fireplace and drinking hot chocolate with marshies.
I feel like I am in an Amy Grant Christmas song right now.

better go send those Christmas cards...
peace, love & ho ho ho!

Christmas Card 2010

Frankly, I adore a good Christmas Card. And this year, I am planning to decorate with them like garland! Why not display all the printed love you receive, when you're going to toss it January 1st anyway?

So, I look forward to the challenge of creating cards for me & Mr. King.
It's my only year to use a wedding pic, but it's been a while since my wedding.. don't want it to be overkill like it just happened.. I was aiming for subtle....
What do you think of the finished product?
